A table for people you already trust.

The next date is the point. Host locks the gathering; you RSVP in or out. Invite-only links, max eight. No feed, no discovery, no public profiles, no ads.

How you get in

There is no browse, no explore, no “people you may know.” You arrive because someone at the table already trusts you.

  1. 01 Single-use invite A link from someone already in the circle — one use, from someone you trust.
  2. 02 Email code Sign in with a one-time code. No password to forget.
  3. 03 Your table name Choose the display name your people already use for you.

How it works

Once you are in, the app keeps one question in front: is the next gathering on, and are you coming? Everything else supports that loop — not a feed to scroll.

  1. 01 Host locks Someone in the circle starts it (Table, Crew, Training, or Help) and locks when and where the next gathering happens.
  2. 02 RSVP in or out Members answer plainly — in or out — so the table knows who is coming before the night.
  3. 03 After the night The host records what happened — happened, cancelled, or no-show — so the circle keeps an honest record.
  4. 04 Invite when ready New people enter only through a single-use invite link from someone already in the circle. No browse, no discovery.

Circle jobs

Every circle has a job — the reason you keep showing up. Same rules: invite-only, eight seats, one locked next date.

Optional Field — a map and simple on-trail vitals — for Crew, Training, and Help only. It runs only when you choose to open it, and only while the app is in use. Table circles do not use Field.

Quiet by design

No likes. No followers. No scrolling. Typography and copy stay out of the way so the next date stays in front.

Eighthold is invite-only — up to eight people per circle. When a circle is full, it would need to split, not grow into a crowd. There are no public profiles, no discovery, and no ads.

What it is not

FAQ

Plain answers — no growth language, no invented numbers.

What is Eighthold?

A mobile app for small invite-only circles who already know each other — not a social network. A host locks the next date; everyone says in or out. There is no public profile, discovery, or feed.

How do you join a circle?

The only way in is a single-use invite link from someone already in the circle. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, then choose the display name your table knows you by.

How does a circle run day to day?

The host locks when and where. Members RSVP in or out. After the gathering, the host records what happened. When the circle is ready to grow, someone already inside sends a single-use invite — never a public join button.

How many people can be in a circle?

Up to eight. When a circle is full, it would need to split — not grow into a crowd.

Is there a feed, likes, followers, or ads?

No. No feed, no likes, no followers, no scrolling for its own sake, no stranger matching, no ads, and no performative profile graphs.

What is Field?

For Crew, Training, and Help circles, Field is optional: a map and simple on-trail vitals while you are together — only when you open it, and only while the app is in use. Table circles do not use Field.
