## Product

Eighthold is a mobile app (Android and iOS) for small **invite-only circles** of people who already know each other — not a social network.

### How it works (in-app loop)

1. Host starts a circle (Table, Crew, Training, or Help) and locks when and where.
2. Members RSVP in or out.
3. After the gathering, the host records what happened.
4. New people enter only via single-use invite from someone already in the circle.

### How you get in

- Single-use invite link from someone in the circle.
- Email one-time code sign-in (no password).
- Display name your table already uses.

### Circle jobs

- **Table** — regular sit-down gatherings with people you already sit with.
- **Crew** — people who show up as a unit; same invite-only cap.
- **Training** — shared practice/sessions; lock the next session.
- **Help** — mutual practical help among people who already trust each other.

Optional **Field** (map + on-trail vitals) for Crew, Training, and Help only, only while chosen and app in use. Not for Table.

### Quiet by design

- No likes, followers, or scrolling — the next date stays in front.
- **Max eight** per circle; when full, split — not grow into a crowd.
- No feed, discovery, public profiles, or ads.

## Non-goals

- No stranger matching, browsing, or “explore” surfaces.
- No performative profiles, likes, followers, or growth loops.
- No marketing site login, waitlist backend, or circle data APIs on eighthold.com.
